Objectives for the presentation:
- Identify ways to treat chronic pain without the use of opiate medications.
- Discuss the effectiveness of naturopathic treatments for pain and addiction.
- Explain the integration of primary care and naturopathic medicine.
- Explore acupuncture and skeletal manipulation to relieve chronic pain.

Speaker: Dr. Timothy “Bill” Walter
Join us as naturopathic doctor Timothy “Bill” Walter presents on the benefits and effectiveness of naturopathic treatment options for pain using methods such as spinal manipulations, counseling, and botanical supplements. Dr. Walter practices as a naturopathic primary care physician at the Community Health Centers of Lane County in Eugene, OR. He is the first ND to practice as a PCP in a government-operated clinic in the U.S. Dr. Walter has helped develop chronic pain and opioid prescription policies within the County system and has piloted several quality metrics programs, improving patient care and increasing revenue from Medicaid incentive programs. He is currently providing wound care, triage, and counseling to clients of the HIV Alliance on-the-street needle exchange program.
Cost: $2.79-$30.00 for general attendance. Trillium contracted providers are discounted at registration.
